The show airing Dec 31st 2010 will be my last show as interviewer, editor and co-producer of "Ageless".

We began taping shows in April of 2007. During these years we have had wonderful guests who demonstrate every week that people who are in love with their lives really are "Ageless".

Thanks to our guests, our crew, and to Stacy Enyeart my co-producer for making this show possible. I have loved the conversations with people who are passionate about their lives.

It seems hard to believe "Ageless" has been on air for almost four years.

This is the time of year when we look back in reflection and forward with resolution.

For this year-end segment I collaged clips from 15 of our shows.

Together they demonstrate persuasively that "when you are in love with your life, you are ageless."

Miggs Burroughs

Our guest this week is Miggs Buroughs. Although probably best known for his 22 year TV show "MiggsB", Miggs is also a very prolific graphic designer. He began his career designing a US postage stamp and a Time Magazine cover. He has had a stellar career designing many of the most recognizable logos in Westport CT and surrounding towns. He is also a well known and respected photographer. On the show he shares his unique and thought provoking lenticular images.

Life Long Learners is a wonderful resource for seniors in Fairfield County Connecticut. The Norwalk Community College has been host to the program for over 18 years. Andre Guilbert has been a volunteer for ten years. Andre shares information about their classes and volunteer opportunities in this program. The program will air Oct 8th and Oct 15th.

Rosalind Solomon

The first of two interviews with the artist Rosalind Solomon will be aired Sept 24th and Oct 1st.

Rosalind recently turned 80 and is still photographing and exhibition her work. In fact, she has photographs in two different shows currently on exhibition at MoMA. She has had a fascinating life. Paul Alan Levi

Paul Alan Levi is a classical composer who started his career as the composer of the music used behind the PBS logo from 1971 into the early 80's. He is well known as a choral composer but does so much more. Most recently he is the composer of the music for the film "Years in the Making" on late life creativity.

Paul says he thinks in the timing of film. It is fascinating to contemplate how he accomplishes the nuanced shifts in the music. Three excerpts of the music used in the film , including two after the closing credits, are used in this segment of Ageless. The closing credits are accompanied by the part of his Mark Twain Suite - Sunrise on the Mississippi. This piece, which has been played at Carnegie Hall, is played on recorders and other children's toy instruments. Enjoy

Leo B Meyer

Leo B. Meyer created a life doing what he loved best - working in the theater. Meyer, always the entrepreneur, began his theatrical set design career by producing marionette shows for schools. In high school he won first prize in a student set design competition at the Metropolitan opera. For the next forty years he created, designed and built sets, lighting and costumes for many of the major productions over the last 40 years on Broadway as well as for regional opera, international touring companies, and early live TV. Leo says he never had to work at anything he didn't love. He attributes his success to being someone who always jumped into whatever he did with both feet. Leo now co-hosts a radio talk show dealing with the theater and is involved in CT musical productions. Leo's show airs April 16th and April 23rd.

Mary McKay Maynard

Mary McKay Maynard led an unusual childhood in hiding in the Philippines during WWII. She is the author of the very well received book, " My Far Away Home". Mary is also an artist and photographer. June describes herself as a piano teacher, a writer and a "connector". Theater, art, and music were always a big part of her life. Growing up not having she said was not a bad thing because it taught her to be creative. Her flexible attitude has given her a diverse and interesting life. She has never been bored. She has parlayed meeting people into exciting experiences. Her curiosity allowed her to go behind the scenes at the Guggenheim and on a whale watch and then the opportunity to write front page stories of her experiences. She calls CT her Camelot for creativity. She talks in the interview about the CT garbage museum. Always open to new experience, she does public relations, event production. She is a theater critic and she is working on a book on Paul Bogaev. Her creativity is in seeing the opportunities so many of us miss.

Whimsical and highly creative describes the art of well known local artist Jody Silver. In this segment of Ageless Jody shares some of the pieces she will be exhibiting at Silvermine Guild Gallery from January 10 to February 19, 2010. Her colorful wall and freestanding sculptures are combinations of scraps of wood, metal, and other interesting textures. More than well designed and beautiful to look at, they also show us something about the nature of relationships. Jody has a studio in and is a member of the Loft Artists Association in Stamford. Cat Urbain is the author of a wonderful book written for middle school children called "Manuel and The Lobsterman"
The book deals with the growing relationship an old lobsterman and a resentful summer visitor who is trying to earn enough money to go to New Haven. The suspenseful and uplifting book is about a cantankerous relationship that grows into respect. It also invites you into the hard and precarious world of what it is like to be a lobsterman. On the program Cat shows various props she uses when talking about the book to schools. Cat has also been a grant writer for the Hole in the Wall Camps. Kimberly Dorsey began as an actress and model in her teens. She returned several years ago to an active career. In the interview she talks about the differences between then and now. Kim went back to get a masters in psychology. Together with her husband, Kim has created the Pumpkin Preschool early childhood development centers in Westport, Fairfield and Shelton. She still takes an active part in creating curriculum and making sure the schools are staffed with people who exemplify the goals of innovatibe learning, creativity and fun.
